ABOUT

Sea Glass Psychiatry is a professional practice - one of specialized providers, full time office staff, process and even pharmacy advisors.  The goal is to treat patients well, help referring therapists provide the best care to their clients, and provide the best experience, even through difficult times.

"Broken glass is shiny, yet fragile.  Even one scratch would ruin it.  Sea Glass is worn smooth, not as delicate.  'I have tumbled through the waves and am no longer broken.  I am a new treasure with softer edges - helping me handle difficult situations.'"

CT Medicaid (Husky), Medicare, and most commercial insurances accepted along with sliding scales and hardship consideration. Credit/debit is accepted for co-payments or sessions.

Convenient telehealth or in-person appointments available day, evening, and weekends.  Contact for openings.

OUR TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

Our providers take time to understand your full history, current symptoms, concerns, and goals before developing a treatment plan.

Our approach emphasizes:

  • Individualized care – recognizing that symptoms often overlap and do not always fit neatly into one diagnosis

  • Shared decision-making – discussing treatment options openly so you can take an active role in your care

  • Whole-person treatment – considering your emotional health, daily functioning, relationships, school, work, and overall well-being

  • Ongoing evaluation – adjusting treatment as symptoms, circumstances, and goals change over time

  • Collaboration – working with therapists, medical providers, schools, or other members of your care team when appropriate and with consent

  • Evidence-based care – using current clinical research and best-practice standards to guide treatment decisions

  • Respect and inclusivity – providing care in a supportive environment that respects each person's identity, background, and experiences

Our goal is to provide care that is clear, practical, and responsive to your individual needs—not simply to treat a diagnosis.
